
Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) said when leaving home if one recites AyatulKursi, Allah will send 70,000 angels to protect him and will remove poverty from his house. Regular recitation of AyatulKursi makes ones death easier. Whoever recites ayatulKursi after praying, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering paradise except death. It helps to maintain your calm and not get scared when you're alone.

If you recite it twice, two groups of angels are appointed to protect you and if you recite it thrice, Allah himself takes care of you.
